Pathankot-Udhampur DMU Shut Down
The DMU (Diesel Multiple Unit) service has historically been a lifeline for passengers traveling across the scenic routes between Pathankot and Udhampur. Offering affordability and reliable schedules, the train connects rural and urban areas, supporting both local livelihoods and regional tourism.
The route, stretching over 150 kilometers, traverses lush valleys and rugged terrains, making it popular among nature enthusiasts and travelers. The suspension of this service had disrupted travel plans and forced passengers to rely on less convenient alternatives.
