Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir: An 8-day-old baby girl died in Rajouri district. The woman left her daughter in a dry pond in the burning heat due to which she died due to heat, hunger and thirst.
Officials gave this information on Monday. When the people of Kadma Prat village of Sunderbani tehsil of Rajouri saw the body of the girl, they immediately informed the police and the police also sent a team to recover her: Officials said.
When the victim’s mother Sharifa Begum was asked about this, she put all the blame on her husband Mohammad Iqbal. However, later it was found out that her husband had left for Kashmir before the incident: Officials said.

On getting all this information, the suspicion of the officials fell on the daughter’s mother. After which her mother was taken into custody for questioning, they said.
An official said, “During interrogation, she broke down and confessed to the crime.” According to it, Sharifa had a argue with Iqbal and to take revenge for the same, she left the girl in a dry pond in the scorching heat and killed her 8-day-old Baby Girl and due to fear of going to jail and getting punishment, she tried to put all the blame on her husband Iqbal. Officials said that a case of murder and other crimes has been registered against Sharifa in Sunderbani police station and further investigation is underway.
